Jim Tuttle

Jim has been in congregational ministry for almost four decades and brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to our team at GCR. After receiving a business degree from Abilene Christian University, where he was a captain of the football team, Jim followed the call to ministry at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas. While participating in their Institute of Practical Ministry, he earned a master’s degree in ministry from Oklahoma Christian University.

In 1990, Jim and his wife, Judy, moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he became the Preaching Minister for the Lincoln Church of Christ. Eight years later, that church planted Heartlands Church on the southeast side of town, where Jim served as the founding Lead Minister for 25 years. During that time, Jim and Judy were blessed to see God reach and grow people in a close-knit community of faith and to provide a culture of grace and love in the city of Lincoln.

In 2023, the Tuttles have sought the Lord’s will for a new setting, a different people, and place for a new season of ministry. And they are confident that GCR Church is that place.

“We are ready to pour into the people at GCR and to disciple the next generation of Christians. I’m eager to serve and help each member at GCR experience deeper faith and spiritual growth in transformation and mission.”

The Tuttles have two children: their son Carson and daughter-in-law Natalie who live in Iowa, and their daughter Kristin Rampton and son-in-law Ryan who both also serve on our GCR ministry team. They are further blessed by their two grandchildren in Midland, Lucy and Lincoln Rampton.
