We’ve looked back into our history as a church and pinpointed these elements that make our church who we are. These elements of our DNA define who we are and what we strive for.
ONE FAMILY
We are a family that loves each of its members. We will love the oldest to the youngest and show love, respect and care for all our members.
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY
We will encourage all family members to be involved in close Christian community where they can serve, mentor, encourage, challenge and minister to others as well as being served, mentored, encouraged, challenged and ministered to by others.
SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES
We will encourage each family member to practice spiritual disciplines on their own (bible study, prayer, fasting, giving, etc.) as well as participate in congregational and group activities for the purpose of spiritual formation (Worship, Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes, study groups, etc.).
VIBRANT WORSHIP
We will be a family that gathers together, all generations, side by side, for vibrant, participatory, spirit-filled worship of our Father.
SERVE ONE ANOTHER
We will encourage, equip and train each family member to utilize their God given gifts and talents to serve others within the GCR family and in the world around us.
IMPACT THE COMMUNITY
We will build bridges and relationships through community service activities (Opportunity Tribe, Lee HS, Mission Agape, etc.) for the ultimate purpose of sharing Christ.
SHARE THE GOSPEL
We will create an expectation that all family members should establish intentional relationships for the purpose of sharing Christ. We will equip and train our family in how to share Christ with others and how to “make disciples”. Our family members will regularly invite others to our family activities, giving them many opportunities to respond and follow Christ. We will be a church that is actively involved in domestic church planting and international missions.
