The purpose of the Help Ministry is to provide financial assistance for individuals facing economic challenges. Applications for rent and utility assistance are available in the GCR office. Completed applications are submitted for consideration by a volunteer committee. Several applications are prayerfully considered each Wednesday night and recipients are notified within a few days of the meeting. For more information regarding the process and documentation required, please contact the church office.
We have a heart to meet the needs of the hurting families right here in our community. We started the King's Storehouse outreach ministry to provide food, clothing, toiletries, and household items to those in need. Families can make an appointment to visit the Storehouse at our church on Wednesday nights to receive the items they need and an encouraging word from our dedicated volunteers. A list of items needed for the Storehouse is published weekly. If you're interested in making an appointment, donating items, or volunteering, please contact us today!
The Impact Committee provides a way for GCR to bless the community financially through the relational ties of its members. How it works: when a GCR member knows of someone who is in need of financial assistance due to long-term unemployment, medical expenses, or any other special circumstances, the member will refer them to the Impact Committee and help them fill out an application for funds. The committee will review and consider applications at their Wednesday night meetings. If they choose to award the funds, the church member responsible for the referral will come alongside their friend as a source of encouragement to help manage the funds, develop a plan, and speak truth. We believe that this method will provide not only immediate relief from financial stress, but also the relational support necessary to work towards long-term stability.
