ELIJAH January 11 - March 7 ● 7:00 - 7:45 Eddie Lee ● Room 301/302** This series examines the life of one of the most resolute and tenacious men who ever served God. The study of his challenges, trials, and victories will inspire your own resolve to live the counter-cultural life of faith. HIDE AND SEEK January 11 - March 7 ● 7:00 - 8:00 PM Mark Dean ● Room 8** If our desire is to truly be more and more like the One we call Master, Lord and Rabbi then it is imperative that we walk as Jesus walked. Jesus was accustomed to rising early and praying to the Lord His God. He made fasting a regular discipline. He memorized vast amounts of scripture and He sought out new ways to bless others. This class is about HIDING the word of God in our hearts through the life-changing process of memorization. And we will be challenged to SEEK out ways to bless the people that God has put in our path everyday.
S.O.S. - SUFFICIENCY OF SCRIPTURE January 11 - March 7 ● 7:00 - 8:00 PM Burke Brack ● Room 6** Sufficient – “to meet one's needs.” Claiming the sufficiency of Christ, and realizing our sufficiency in Christ, is the key to being victorious in our battles. We must be free from our attitude of self-sufficiency. We must have the might of Christ in our challenges, and in our weaknesses allow Christ to be our strength! timely and much-needed study of godly womanhood. In a culture saturated with liberal feminism, it is easy to lose sight of how to be biblically feminine. This class will use many of our women serving as group leaders and promises to potentially impact our generation as well as the one we are raising. The teaching is biblical, insightful, convicting, and compelling. With great expectation we welcome you to a life as God's Adventurer! This class is designed to create a “realistic” knowledge of the Word, filled with warm fellowship and lots of practical training.
THE HEART OF WORSHIP January 11 - March 7 ● 7:00 - 8:00 PM Ken Young ● Fellowship Hall** "A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." ~ John 4:23 A study based on John Piper's classic, "Desiring God." We will look at what God reveals to us in the Word about the kind of worshipers He seeks. Too many times we find ourselves caught up in lifestyles and demands that drain us of happiness. This class will help us reclaim the joy intended for those who put their faith in Christ.
Specific areas of need or interest can be addressed through shorter offerings. ELECTIVES offer additional choices for specific interests, needs, or groups. These classes are generally shorter.
RAISING A MODERN DAY KNIGHT $ January 11 - March 7 ● 6:30 - 8:00 Eric West & Travis McGraw ● Room 4 Geared toward dads with boys ages 6-14, Raising a Modern Day Knight is a compelling video study that will give you the opportunity to explore how we can raise our sons into noble, vibrant masculinities and healthy manhood. This session will propel your fatherhood to another level. Workbook $17
GCR AROUND THE WORLD January 11 - March 7 ● 7:00 - 8:00 Wil Pippin ● Library** Wondering where GCR is involved around the world and locally? The Missions Committee would like to give you an in depth look at where GCR is involved. Whether you are just curious, would like to help, or would like to visit one of our mission sites, you will be encouraged and blessed by seeing how God is using GCR to spread His kingdom.
FIVE CONVERSATIONS $C January 11 - March 7 ● 6:30 - 8:00 Kimmee Brandon & Chaney Manning ● Room 100 From the cradle to college, tell your sons the truth about life before they believe the culture's lies. This DVD driven class for mothers with boys newborn to eighteen. This six-week study is ideal for men of all ages.
