/files/Images/Oikos/2006MissionTripGroupSmall.jpgOur Oikos group recently returned from our 2006 Mission Trip.  This year we went to New Olreans and worked with Hilltop Rescue to help clean out houses from Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.  To our surprise, New Orleans is still in a state of disrepair.  Our goal was to minister to the people of the New Orleans in many different ways, primarily by cleaning out their houses.  Check out some of the pics below to see how the houses looked beforehand.  What was awesome about New Orleans is we got to meet new homeowners every day and share with them the love of Christ through hard work and sweat, conversation, and prayer.  God blessed us with the opportunity to meet so many incredible people.  It was truly an incredible experience being able to share Christ all day long with the people of New Orleans.  Thanks to all who helped support us and pray for us.  Please ask us about our trip.  We've got many great stories to share.  One story can be found here.

Check out our video that has pictures and student commentary about the trip.  It's available in two versions:
Low Bandwidth (about 1MB) is recommended for Dial-Up connections, but it can be hard to see the pictures.  The High Bandwidth version is recommended.
High Bandwidth (about 17MB) is the same video but is bigger and is recommended for broadband connections (Cable, DSL, etc...).  It's easier to see the details in the pictures.
