It has been said that singleness is the permanent direction of the American population because the drift of American culture for more than 200 years has clearly been in this direction. Any church that fails to minister with single adults has missed an invitation to be God’s tools in reaching its community! For the first time in the United States there are more singles than there are married couples. Many churches may ask, "what do we have to offer"....the answer.....Jesus Christ!
Take some time and read (Philippians 2:1-11). These verses are a great thing to consider when reaching out. May you be challenged to think outward and not inward. Jesus himself "went" instead of waiting for others to come to Him. After all, Christianity is more "caught" than "taught". Whether or not you have a singles ministry, please keep in mind, WE ARE THE MESSAGE!
