One out of five Americans is a single adult. In a given week, 28% of single adults attend church. This compares to 42% of married adults. Why such a difference?
According to many singles, churches do not offer ministries that meet their needs. Churches may have classes or programs for children, youth, and married of all ages, but few for singles. Obviously, there is a great opportunity to reach out to singles with ministries that meet their real needs.
It has been said that singleness is the permanent direction of the American population because the drift of American culture for more than 200 years has clearly been in this direction. Any church that fails to minister with single adults has missed an invitation to be God’s tools in reaching its community!
What a pleasure it is to share such a rewarding ministry with you. Currently, the GCR Singles are reaching out and meeting the needs of single adults of all ages and backgrounds. We welcome the blessing of knowing you and becoming part of your family, and you ours! May God bless you in your singleness as He calls upon you to serve Him.
Because He Cares,
