WBS - Kenya Orphanages
Acts 2 paints a surreal picture of the Spirit adding 3,000 people to the
Body of Christ in a single day. Sometimes we wish the Spirit still
performed such amazing feats. He does! He is!
Several years ago the Spirit used a seasoned Bible correspondence
course, a faithful GCR servant, and a receptive Kenyan heart to start a
redemption revolution in the plains of Kenya. The Spirit reached
across thousands of miles of ocean and traversed deserts, mountains
and plains to unite two vastly different groups of believers in a
Kingdom project far greater than any one person’s imagination. Today,
over 1,000 Kenyans a year are being baptized, 10 orphanages have
been erected, over 1,900 orphans are being fed, and the Church is
shining bright on the hill!
This section of the GCR website is dedicated to sharing
this story, because it is a story that must be told. It is a story that
shames the cynic and feeds the hopeful. It is a story that clears the fog
so we might see plainly the Spirit of God at work. It is a story that will
lead us to worship. It is a story that we must share, because it is our
story.
I pray that when you have explored this site, three things will
happen. First, you will see the Spirit. Second, you will listen to the
Spirit’s guidance in how you might join in this redemption revolution.
Third, you will begin to expect the Spirit to work similar extraordinary
events in your life.
